Gap t-shirt: in store purchase. Spiegle metallic leather skirt: thirfted. |
Lucky Magazine is hosting a "Date Night" contest where contributors can submit their best outfit. I really want to participate, trouble is, Stephen and I don't really have date nights per se. We have "date days". And to be perfectly honest, I prefer it that way, because I'm pretty useless by the time 9:00 p.m. rolls around.
Unlisted pumps: thrifted. Vintage Coach bucket bag: yard sale. Bracelets: thirfted. |
Now about the date "night" outfit, as long as it's comfortable and has pockets; it's a go. I like this one because the t-shirt keeps it casual, but the skirt has some shimmer and shine...just in case we actually do make it a real date and do some fine dinning at McDonald's.
I love these old vintage cameras, but can't download any pictures with them. |
Let's make a date to meet up over at
Patti's Visible Monday and Monday Mingle.
I used to have those same shoes in green and camel! I also found them thrifted. I am stunned by that gorgeous skirt - WANT! And holy cow, you got that bag at a yard sale?? Wow, you spot the deals!
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes! they're so ugly...in a cute sort of way.
DeleteYou already look like you're in a magazine photo spread! What a gorgeous ensemble you've put together. The skirt, shoes, bag, everything looks great on you and together. Well done Sheila!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pao.
DeleteOoooh I like the new look on the blog and I LOVE your date night look! That skirt is sensational! Patrick and I have tried for so long to have designated date nights, but it is so hard with three kids, and then there was the wedding and now we are getting ready for his deployment. Argh. But the date nights that we do have are pretty laid back and just consist of us spending some time together, which is the most important ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Frannie Pantz. I only had one and even that was hard. I salute you and Patrick!
DeleteLove the skirt, top and bracelets would definitely be a great date night or date day look!! That coach bag is making me want to pull out the older ones I still have, that is when coach was making classic timeless handbags!!

and I thought the hubster and I were the epitome of dating excitement!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your outfit--that is one sharp looking skirt with loads of styling possibilities.
That skirt is really special. Its quite the find. I think we may all be a bit envious!
ReplyDeleteI love the description of your date days...sounds like so much fun.
I think we should all do a post on our hubbys...LOL!
I love the metallic skirt and your date days sound exactly like my and my DH "dates."
ReplyDeleteloving the dressy skirt with casual tee!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with every piece of this outfit. It all works great together.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I probably have more daytime dates than nighttime ones. We'll go out for a lunch together sometimes...usually our favorite little Thai restaurant. We like to go for drives also. If it's not of the long scenic type I usually just make him drive slow to let me gawk at houses.
That metallic skirt is of cute & the way you paired it with the tee s brilliant! Great look for Date Night!!!!
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Lynn
This date day outfit is stunning and perfect for the Lucky Magazine contest. I think you should enter and you are a winner as far as I can tell. I love the skirt with the pumps, and the cameras and luggage as background.
ReplyDeleteI'd have swooned over that skirt if I'd seen it and I love that you're wearing it with a graphic tshirt. They're so underrated in my opinion and add a touch of youthfulness/street smarts to an ensemble. I also love a graphic tee peeking out from under a blazer.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the photos today!
sheila your outfit is fantastic! i love the shimmering skirt, looks like that kind of leather we wore in the 80th, and even more i love your vintage shoes. i'm looking for a similar pair but up to now did not find one. amongst your cameras you have some really old treasures.
ReplyDeleteCute skirt and t-shirt!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so cool! I also adore your pumps, oh how I wish I could wear high heels again. You are rocking this look so much.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is awesome!! Love how you've paired it with the tee to make it a casual look - love the shoes too!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to date days - do plenty more of those than nights these days!
Girl, you are too foxy for McDonald's! That is a great skirt, with so many options.
ReplyDeleteI love your vintage cameras and suitcases. I've been thinking about collecting some vintage suitcases myself for extra storage.
Love your combination of silver and browns, and the shape of those shoes is divine! Can so relate to being "done" at 9 pm, lol.
