108
Friends, I was almost ready to hit the delete button on the folder that contained the photos for this post. Why? Because I just couldn't find any connection between myself and this silly 108 plaque I'm posing next to. Don't ask why I decided to do it, because I don't even know. I just did. Then it hit me. I was able to make a connection. Approximately every 108 days (three times a year or so) I end up wearing an outfit that doesn't have any thrifted items. It's a rare event, but it does happen. This is one of those outfits. I'd like to mention though, that I did buy most of the items on sale/clearance. The dress I bought last year from Sears Land's End collection. The T-strap sandals came from Gap at least 7 years ago. The purse is from Wilson's Leather and the hat I bought last week from the Walmart men's department. Oh! and the bracelet, purchased from Marshall's with a gift card.
I also googled "108" and found this interesting article on why there's 108 beads on a Mala (mantra counting beads). It has all sorts of interesting "facts" about 108, such as; we have 36 feelings related to the future, 36 to the past and 36 to the present.
The sun is 108 times the diameter of the earth. It sure felt like when I was taking these pictures.
I'm sure I've spent at least 108 minutes on this post.
I've also told the guy at the post office counter my name 108 times (and he still can't remember.)
I have at least 108 pairs of shoes!
So sorry to have missed the party at Patti's Visible Monday . I think I can still make it to Thrifters Anonymous and Monday Mingle.
Maybe the total number of people attending these parties will be 108?
But really, an outfit without any thrifted items? Scary isn't it?
How many times a year to you wear an outfit that doesn't have any thrifted items?
Do you have any connections to the number 108?

Love, Love, Love Pink and Red
Happy Valentine’s Day everybody, everywhere! Hope your day
is everything you want it to be.
This “red and pink together” challenge, really was a challenge. I have red things in my
closet and I have pink things in my closet, but I rarely, if ever wear them at
the same time. What helped me bring it all together was this dress (worn as a
shirt here, until the weather warms up). It’s got both colors plus some black
to ground it all. Add black jeggins, boots, a fitted red trench and a fur
scarf. Viola! That’s my V-Day outfit in a bag.
Enjoy your day
Love your lover
Love your family
Love yourself!

Do You Like My Necklace?
How do you like my necklace? What do you mean you don't see it? It's right there in my purse. It's blue, red and black stones. LOL. Yeah, that's right I forgot to put my necklace back on. This was sort of an impromtu photo shoot. Stephen and I were on one of our weekend jaunts and he pointed out the ancient train station and what a good backdrop it would make for photographs. I thought so to. Actually, this location is just the next town over, so you might see it again sometime. So, about the outfit. This is typical of my usual weekend gear. And can I just say, I love gray. I do. Does gray ever really fade? The more you wash it; it only gets, well....more gray. I get really tickled with myself when I can say my outfit has a thrift factor of at least 50%, which this one does. Best of all, it was comfortable, just what one needs when combing through thrift and antique stores. And yes, it's that purse again. Bear with me on this. I got it for Christmas and just love it to pieces. I have quite a few bags, but truthfully, I tend to stick with one at a time. It's so much trouble switching and inevitably something important gets left behind in the previous one. Like a wallet!

I love this dress/tunic. I can ball it up in a draw and it comes out wrinkle free.
Got this bracelet at an antique show, but I seriously doubt it's antique.
Guess where these boots came from? Target. Amazing! Target isn't a place I'd normally shop for boots. But when I saw them, I was pretty impressed. They're real suede and well made.
